I’m a student at Hitotsubashi University, whose campuses are located in Kunitachi, Kodaira, and Chiyoda.
The campuses are often said to be cozy places making people feel at home.
We have a lot of opportunities to communicate with international students during courses, club activities, and stuff. For instance, in an English class, all students discuss many topics and exchange their own opinions, which are unique and informative.
I take courses online because of the coronavirus situation and I’m hoping this situation will be all settled down and we can start to enjoy the normal campus life!
For international students or people who would like to study at Hitotsubashi University
Every year a lot of international students study at Hitotsubashi University. In 2020, 817 international students were in this university (The total number of students were about 6300). I believe the strong points of the university for international students are “comprehensive support services” and “atmosphere of campus”.
In terms of “comprehensive support services”, there are International Student and Study Abroad Advising Office (ISSAAO), Student Support Center, Career Support Center, Student Advising and Counseling Room, Language Community, and so on. These services help you solve problems and enjoy your campus life a lot. In addition, Language Community offers you the opportunity to communicate and make friends with Japanese students.
In terms of “atmosphere of campus”, Hitotsubashi University students are often said to be calm, kind, and nice. They are also familiar with international communication. Actually, this point is personally one of the reasons why I like and choose the university.
