We created this website to give you some latest information about Japan.
We are Japanese university students so we can introduce latest and useful information to you. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.

Momono Kawaguchi
I am Momono Kawaguchi, one of the editors of this website. I study social science at Hitotsubashi University. I was born and raised in Japan. During my short stay in Australia about six years ago, I met a wonderful and beautiful host family supporting me kindly even if I couldn’t speak English at all. After that experience, I decided to study this language hard.
We founded this website because we want international students and people from abroad to know and learn about Japan even under this hard circumstance where there are few opportunities to travel, interact, and know about other countries well. I believe this website is unique and new because many Japanese university students are involved in making this website. I hope you enjoy this whole website and find any tips.

Koh Uehara
Hi. I am Koh Uehara and a co-editor of this website. I belong to Faculty of Engineering at the University of Tokyo, majoring mechano-informatics. It was when I entered my junior high that I started to learn English. Since then, I’ve studied it for eight years. When I was a junior high school student, I studied English mainly in a cram school. My English class there was too harsh to keep up with, so I had to do an incredible amount of homework at the highest level that I had ever seen. However, with this hard work, I obtained the decent skills not only in term of high school entrance exams, but also university entrance exams. With three years of my high school, I cultivated those skills, especially writing and reading skills. After I entered my university, English changed from a study field to pursue to a tool to communicate with people from around the world. Two years ago, I stayed in Brisbane, Australia for two weeks to study English. During it, I realized the real fun of communicating with friends with different backgrounds. It surprised me that people can think so differently just with different national or cultural backgrounds, which is so interesting to me. Now, I love to listen to people from abroad.
Momo loves English and both of us would like international students and people from abroad to gain information about my country despite the situation that it is difficult to trip or study abroad because of COVID-19. This is why we opened this website! We offer information about Japan from Japanese language to trip advice from the viewpoint of Japanese university students. You can touch temporary young Japanese people’s thoughts by reading articles. I hope you enjoy them all!
